Blizzard Releases Patch Notes For Upcoming Warcraft III: Reforged Patch
The launch of Warcraft III: Reforged has been widely regarded in recent months as one of the worst, most shameful launches a game has ever seen, especially from a developer like Blizzard. Reforged launched in a completely unfinished state, with a huge amount of missing content, and the content that was not missing was barely playable.
That said, the developers have continued to strive to update the game to the state it should have been at launch. One of the main things added in this next update is the reintegration of custom solo games. In addition, the developers fixed several crashes in custom game modes, such as Custom Hero Survival. Other fixes have been applied to the instance API natives compared to unit attacks.
Moving on to art, there are a number of fixes that seem, as these patch notes often do, like things that shouldn’t have been fixed at all. Here are some of the fixes that came with the new fix:
Over time, it was great to see Blizzard not giving up the title and working to bring it to the quality originally expected. However, looking at the patch notes and seeing some of the problems and bugs that are present can really bring home exactly how unfinished the game was at launch. Although the team is doing a great job of continuing the development, it is unlikely that anyone will like the version anytime soon.
