WWE and 2K games announce WWE 2K Battlegrounds instead of WWE 2K21
WWE and 2K Games have announced a new game to replace WWE 2K21 called WWE 2K Battlegrounds.
The game will replace WWE 2K21, which was to be announced this year. It’s no secret that WWE and the 2K games lasted a few months due to the launch of WWE 2K20. WWE 2K20 was filled with revolutionary bugs, missing Collector’s Edition items, and other major issues that disappointed players.WWE And 2K Games Announce WWE 2K Battlegrounds Fighting Game Instead Of WWE 2K21
Earlier this month, in a financial appeal available on the WWE website, Acting CFO Frank Riddick was asked about a new WWE 2K title to follow WWE 2K20. Riddick confirmed to investors that “there will be no game launch this year”.
On Monday, WWE Games announced a break with the formula. WWE 2K Battlegrounds will not be developed by Visual Concepts or Yukes, who have worked on previous games. Instead, Saber Interactive takes over. They have already released MX Nitro Unleashed and NBA Playgrounds.
2K Games announced in an open letter, “We are delighted to introduce WWE 2K Battlegrounds, a brand new WWE gaming experience that will feature arcade-style action and exaggerated Superstar designs, environments and movements. We focus on the fun of social games, but with a lot of depth for those who want to enter it. “
